Natural Teething Remedies

Teething can be a rough time for both baby and mom.  Little ones can start sprouting teeth as young as 4 months old, and can get their first cap at 3 months.  If you have been through teething with a little one before, you know that having some teething toys at the ready can help sooth your little one.  At Our Green House, we have lots of great teething toys, including some sweet new wooden teethers!  These all make great gifts since they double as a toy :)

While teething toys are wonderful, we also wanted to share a few tips to help you sooth your teething baby.
1. A cool washcloth, teething toy, or spoon (while eating too!)  can help sooth a baby's gums.  Just make sure the item isn't totally frozen because extreme cold can be harmful.

2.  Lots of drooling is inevitable when a baby is teething, but it can also cause skin irritation that may make your baby even more fussy.  Keep a clean cloth handy and consider some moisturizer before bedtime.

3.  Simply gently rubbing your baby's gums may help ease some discomfort :)

What are your tips and tricks when it comes to teething?
