2016 Yoga!

The holiday season is always busy with lots of parties, busy shopping days, and time spent with friends and family.  Because of this, it can be hard to make time for exercise.  It is super important to make time to work out, so while you are enjoying the holidays, why not look forward to 2016 and ways to stay healthy.  We love yoga for so many reason, and we have lots of great yoga gear that will get you excited to hit the mat!  Whether you are buying for yourself, a friend, or a little one,  we have you covered.  We also love bringing our S'well bottle with us to stay hydrated before, during, and after a great yoga session.

Yoga Time

One of our favorite ways to get exercise and relax is through yoga.  It is a wonderful workout for people of all ages and skill levels, and there are so many poses to keep you engaged and interested.   Yoga also has lots of health benefits that can help with all different types of ailments.  




1.  Yoga helps improve flexibility.  This can be great helping with posture, and also can help prevent injuries while playing other sports.  

2.  Yoga helps protect your spine.   Spinal disks need movement to stay well balanced a supple.  Yoga helps supply movement to these areas and keep the spine safe.

3.  Yoga increases blood flow.  Yoga can help with overall circulation through different poses by allowing more oxygen to flow to your cells.

4.  Yoga helps you focus.  We all know that when you get stressed out and wound up it can be hard to focus, but doing yoga for as little as 15 minutes can help improve focus.

5.  Yoga can help you sleep deeper.  Sleep is vital to our overall health, and getting proper exercise really helps your body relax which in turn can lead to more restorative sleep cycles.

Post Yoga Tea Time

One of our favorite ways to unwind after a great yoga session is with a cup of delicious tea!  At Our Green House we carry a wide variety of teas and you are sure to find the perfect one.  Whether you want something to help you kick start your day, or to help you mellow down at night, we have you covered.  And drinking tea after yoga is a really good way to stay hydrated and continue taking care of your body. 


Tea is a great coffee substitute because many teas have caffeine but they are a bit more mellow.  And for those who don't drink caffeine, then tea is the perfect morning and evening warm beverage.
