Gifts for the Kitchen

Wedding season is gearing up, which means it is time to start thinking about gifts for the newlyweds in your life!  Whether you need a bridal shower gift or a wedding gift we have you covered.  We know that most people have registries these days, but we also know that people actually really appreciate off registry gifts when they are thoughtfully purchased.  Today we wanted to round up some of our fabulous kitchen products that make great wedding gifts!

For those couples who are into being 'green', why not get them a really nice kitchen compost bucket.  We know this might seem a little funny, but if your couple is into helping out the environment, this is a great gift!

We absolutely love these coconut bowls! They come in a variety of colors and are food safe, making them perfect for snacks and parties.

We can't resist a pop of color, and these bamboo cutting boards add just enough pop to any kitchen.  We also firmly believe that good cutting boards like this are a 'must have' in any kitchen because not only are they functional when cooking, but they make great serving platters!

Every newlywed needs a pair of nice salad tongs, but they might be a forgotten item on the registry.  These fair trade tongs are hand-crafted from East African fallen Acacia Tortillis!

Never underestimate the versatility and importance of good dish towels! These organic kitchen towels come in a set of 7 beautiful colors and are a kitchen staple.

For the couple who loves to bake, this cake stand is a must.  This heirloom piece is made form 19th century European wood and will be in the family for generations to come.

Spinach and Strawberry Salad with Candied Cashews

Today we are excited to be sharing a recipe that was created by one of our favorite Boston based food bloggers! When the weather starts to get warm, we absolutely love making delicious salads for lunch and dinner.  When Austin whipped up this yummy spinach and strawberry salad we knew it was destined to become a summer staple.  It is fairly simple to make and packs a lot of flavor, plus we love when salads include brightly colored fruit and unique flavors!

We love how Austin used our salad tongs that are made from fallen Acacia Tortillis from East Africa.  They make the perfect hostess gift and are such beautiful pieces to have in your kitchen!

Make sure to check out Austin blog for the full recipe, as well as lots of other food inspiration and yummy recipes!  We love that his recipes are healthy, often vegan or vegetarian, and thoughtfully created :)
