From the time I was in Kindergarten, I've always thought of the first day of school as a new beginning. This year I'm making a commitment to eliminate the last of the plastic from our packed snacks and lunches. Previously options were slim in this area, but I'm happy to say we've found a treasure trove of products and added them to our store so you can have a green house too! The picture below shows a sampling of our new products, but make sure to click over to the our green house store and see all the goodies we've found. From organic cloth napkins to eco lunchboxes, there's something for everyone!

We need ideas for traditons. My son starts his first day of school next month. I guess it will be to drive him every day and not let him take the public bus.

We don't have any traditions as of yet. Our daughter is only 7 months old, but we look forward to beginning them in a couple of years. My hopes are to be able to send her to school with a healthy packed lunch and hopefully some eco-friendly school supplies.
ReplyDeleteMy family always went out to breakfast before the first day. We would get up early, get ready, and head over to the local diner for some eggs, waffles, and huge glasses of orange juice! It was awesome and really energized me for the first day!

We all (three brothers) take a photo with our book--filled backpacks in front of Mom's favorite flowers in the backyard. At the end of the day we compare who has the most homework after only one day of school.
ReplyDeleteMy oldest is starting Kindergarten on Monday, so no traditions yet. I am thinking about making a back-to-school cake for her... we will see!
